I understand....
The BRHS (like all Fallen Flag RR Historical Societies) was about 1/3 retirees, 
1/3 Railfans, and 1/3 Model Railroaders/Modelers.
The technical information was not much interest to the first category of 
members and they were more interested in the people and places with some 
operations aspects.
This "color" is of intereest to the other 2/3.  Of course, we had a few 
Mechanical Department and other people that were very knowledgeable about the 
equipment and some
that were also Railfans and Model Railroaders/Modelers as well.
