[CBQ] Hazard Pay Confirmed

Byron Gohl, who was a manager in the BN and BNSF crew office, and who has
forgotten more contract details than I ever learned, confirmed the existence
of Indian "Hazard Pay".  However, his information confirms that this existed
on the Great Northern!  

 

He says:

"You must know that the GN paid Engineers "Indian Territory" Pay, into the
80s, or at least late 70s I believe - I think it was done away with the
consolidated merger agreement finally when it came, when the Engineers gave
up prior rights.  It was west of Minot Pay."
