Steve,
The factory building, All Steel which became Equipto when All Steel moved
down to Montgomery, as I remember didn't have a rail connection off the branch
line. I grew up in a house on South Highland Ave in front of the All Steel
Plant. Of course just over a block south the J came through crossing Highland
on
an angle, today the old Equipto warehouse is still there with a sign that
says Equipto. I don't know if the building is used for anything. Over the
years
things have changed down in that neighborhood, many of the houses on the
block I lived including the one we lived in have been torn down. My parents
sold
the house on South Highland ave to Equipto in 1970.
The Q and the J served many industries in Aurora, I have always wanted to
model Middle Ave.
