Does anyone have a photos of PIERRE CHOUTEAU (CB&Q 6-6 - NOT a
POPLAR series rebuild, this is one of the Empire Builder 1937-1939
rebuilds that the CB&Q was assigned and upon the Pullman Divestiture,
this car was purchased by the Q). The PIERRE CHOUTEAU would have
most likely been in Pullman Green with PULLMAN centered on the
letterboard, CB&Q on either end of the boards, and the name centered
in typical fashion in the lower body (c. early 1950), when it was
leased back to the Pullman Pool. Possibly used on the
Denver-Billings run in that era.
It is not in the new Glick book, nor are there drawings of the car in
the earlier books. I don't need to know what it looks like without
the paint scheme, rather I need to know how it was painted in that
time frame (late 1940's, early 1950's). Pullman records do indicate
a PG paint job, but with no specific date attributed to the job.
Thanks for any leads!
