Announcing a new "slideshow CD-Rom" featuring 652 old slides, providing a
look back at the greatest railroad terminals in the south and west, created
by list members Verne Brummel (photographer) and Dave Cramer (photo editor).

A retrospect of the greatest railroad terminals in the USA.  This is the
second of two slideshow CD's in our "America's Great Railroad Terminals"
series, this one featuring Verne Brummel's coverage of railroad terminals in
the south and west, circa 1970's - 80's, consisting of 56 stations,
displayed within 652 slide scenes on this CD.  Of these 56 stations, there
are numerous interior and exterior views from a variety of different vantage
points per station, with several rich exterior night scenes included for
some.  A number of these stations have now been razed, with many, many more
closed or converted to other use.  Coverage of these stations ranges from a
couple of slides to several slides at each station.  A complete list of

In addition to the many interiors and exteriors of stations, we have a
number of shots of passenger trains arriving, departing, and/or sitting at
particular stations.  These include Southern Railway's "Southern Crescent",
D&RGW's "Rio Grande Zephyr", FCP's "El Casteno" and "El Mexicali", an SP
commuter train, Amtrak's "Coast Daylight", "Coast Starlight", "Desert Wind",
"Empire Builder", "Floridian", "Inter-American", "Pacific International",
"Palmetto", "Puget Sound", "San Diegan", "San Francisco Zephyr", "Silver
Meteor", "Silver Star", "Southwest Limited", and "Sunset Limited", plus
other assorted passenger and freight trains with AT&SF, CB&Q, RF&P, and UP
locomotives.  652 slide images in all for your viewing pleasure.

All images are of the highest quality, painstakingly cleaned and color -
corrected, presented in "slideshow" format, FULL-SCREEN (800x600 screen
resolution).  After buying the CD-Rom, if you would like to order an
assortment of slide duplicates from the various images on it, you are
welcome to do so.  Sample images from this CD may be viewed at the website
