========================
Don as I mentioned is WWII pilot (Army Air Corps) - how's this for a
story? He flew one mission over Europe; he & his 10 crew mbrs were
shot down by heavy flak but fortunately parachuted just inside the
Swiss border and got back to England via the 'underground'. Per USAAF
policy he did not have to fly combat again & stayed stateside as an
instructor. He did injure his knees somewhat when he hit the ground
& was very happy that the farmers who ran toward him with pitchforks
were Swiss, not German!
