Guess I'm going to have to break down and buy a LokSound decoder to put in my N
Scale Pioneer Zephyr now that I picked up the
fourth car and you've made the correct sounds!!!
Thanks,
Charlie

Subject: [CBQ] Pioneer Zephyr Loksound soundfile
Today I uploaded the file I have been working on to the TonysTrains
website (www.TonysTrains.com).
The sounds should be reasonably authentic and are sampled from
early soundtracks. The flute-like triple chime was only used on
the 9900 in 1934. The fire alarm-like bell, Charlie Vlk has con-
jectured, was used because the Q worried that the quieter streamliner
would not get 100% attention of passengers near the track, leading to
accidents. The engine idle was easy, but the running sounds took a
lot of work.
If you have a Loksound programmer and can load the Project file and
listen to it, I would appreciate your comments.
