You are modeling late, so of course you can use the CB&Q Mather cars from ...
I'm having
a senior moment here (Proto?). Also, the SM-16s and 18s were done by Challenger
a few
years back and can still be found on the brass market. A bit steep, but
beautiful models.
For those modeling early, there are other options, too, besides the Sunshine
kits, including
a wooden FW&D car by LaBelle and a plausible rebuild of an MDC-Roundhouse old
time
stock car into a "yellow board" (SM-6) car (I believe Ken has done the
yellow-board
conversion). But of course these are very early cars.
