Anyone have that big index of RR magazines?  As I recall (have the 
issue in my basement somewhere) Model Railroading or similar mag (NOT 
MR, Trains, RMC or Railfan) had an article on it in mid-70's and the 
abandonment due to the burnt trestle was not too many yrs before.  
Another relatively late abandonment of a Q dependent shortline was the 
Lee County Electric (run by a little gas-powered  engine most of its 
life).  Gerald
