Fo those of you who work(ed) for a railroad, I have a general yard
question. I know yards mostly (not always) were designed as a "bowl"
so cars didn't roll out (although I have read a lot of neat stories on
this list and others about that!). Anyone know what percent grade
these bowls were? I can't imagine it needed to be much.

Interestingly, the way my Savanna yard is set up on my layout there is
a joint right in the middle of the yard! I am thinking about actually
lowering that joint to form a "bowl" for my yard.
