The CNW came into Aurora from the north along the west bank of the Fox River.
They had a roundhouse and yard north of New York St. where the old Cotton Mill
use to be. the Q had a station on the south west corner of New York and River
and use to run passenger trains from there down the alley and across the North
Ave Bridge on the old main line (before Elevation) The CNW ran passenger
trains north from Aurora to Geneva and then east to Chicago
Package cars came direct from Chicago to Aurora and via the Alley to the Old
Sears and Roebuck store on River St. Even had there own siding The Depot was
last used as a feed store then they moved south down by the Gas Company garage
which was the last trolley barn in Aurora(on the little cross street which ran
west from River) All delivery was via the Alley and done in the CNW Yard North
of New York St.

Did the CNW ever come onto Q trackage? Like deliver/pickup at Eola or
the line that went across the bridge north of the Aurora depot?
Thanks!
