Open Invitation/Reminder:
The public is invited to the next North Texas Chapter, NRHS member's
meeting at Dallas Union Station to enjoy a rare photo history presented
by Mr. Garl Latham on "Dallas Union Terminal".
See Garl's Union Terminal "snapshots of history" featuring images of
the Lobby as it appeared immediately prior to the City of Dallas'
purchase and partial destruction of the property (circa 1974). Garl
took pictures of the station, inside and out, documenting the station
in it's original appearance before remodeling. Additional photographs
of the construction and dedication of the ReUnion complex (Hyatt,
Tower, et al) AND the first decade of Amtrak operations in Dallas will
be shared.
Also on the program, is a visit to the model train layout located on
the upper floor of the station.
