I used to see 29-30 a lot in the 60's when I would drive to Billings
from Powell, Wyo. Usually powered by an E-7 or E-8 (rarely an E-9), 3 car
consist as follows: Heavyweight or Havelock Baggage (usually Pullman Green-
not Silver), Heavyweight RPO and Heavyweight Coach (sometimes a 'modernized'
SSS Coach or Silver C&S Heavyweight Coach would appear). An extra Baggage
would be in the consist once in a while- but the E-unit & 3 car consist was
the usual. I saw a 'Blackbird' SD-9 on the train once (they were Steam
Boiler equipped).
