Nothing has been repaired as of yet (at least to the eye).
As I understand it, they are reviewing options - it is likely a long
process, dealing with insurance carriers, and finding the right
repair facility - something some of us can no doubt compare to other
events. Magnified by a factor of whatever, due to the lack of
experience in stainless in a lot of areas.
A pity Aurora isn't still around (as a Q shop) or for that matter,
Burnham as a D&RGW shop) as I think it would have taken about a day
to fix it and no one would of been able to tell. They were two of
the best at repairing stainless (and constructing from new).
You'll note in the latest time to use it, they instead used the BN
executive units and 4 stainless cars (a Loch car, a 10-6, a diner and
another one - I see them every week, and they are at a point that I
can't see them well as I am a passenger (and can't stop)
