Ralph - Not at home to look at the specific pic but heavyweights in
MoW service were usually painted MoW orange which could fade to almost
yellow (look at slides/color prints to see the many shades
of "orange"). A few, especially closer to BN merger time, were
painted a silver grey. Ex-hwt equipment in MoW service provided bunk,
tool, diner & foreman office functions. I did a clinic using some of
my slides on this subj some yrs ago @ an annual meet. Bill Glicks 2nd
volume on Q hwy passenger equipment has the renumberings of those hwy
cars converted to MoW service. I suggest you buy a copy as proceeds
encourage Bill to the final vol of the trilogy on all Q hwy equipment
and will include many pics. Pick up vol 1 too with all the scale
drwgs - both can be purchased directly from Bill. Inasmuch as hwts
were in MoW service as well as revenue service in all modeling eras,
his books are a must no matter what years you model. Gerald
