Ken, would you be willing to upload a picture of 10018 on this site?
Your description of the lettering and stripe on the doors makes these
even more interesting. I'm not so concerned about quality of a photo
so much as having some photographic representation of a car series.
Rupert - maybe if enough people get interested we might convince
someone to do a book, or at least a major article in the BB like the
XM-32 boxcars or the covered hopper issues. I can provide some

Corrections and additions - particularly non-CBQ builder lot numbers
welcome. The cf, IL, and door width info comes from David Casdorph's
book Boxcar Production 1963-1994, and is purposefully generic here
because there may be variations either stencilled on the car or in
diagram books (which I don't have). Pictures for many are in the
color guide and elsewhere so I didn't put down car side/end
descriptions and other data for reasons of clarity and margin, but
am always happy to discuss big bright red boxcars. The cars I haven't
verified photographically, which spurred by intial postare:
