I couldn't resist buying 3 of the new Kato C&NW gallery cars, and
they are beautiful. If Kato does the fluted side for Burlington, my
Overland cars will have some tough competition. I am not a C&NW
expert so I can't comment on accuracy, but based on how well Kato
made the Burlington business car, I assume these C&NW cars are
accurate.
Do we have anyone out there who can tell me what number series is
correct for the C&NW gallery coaches (not the cab coach -that one I
know). The information with the cars doesn't mention this, and my
C&NW Morning Sun color books haven't helped much. I have two of the
earlier 6 window cars but I think the C&NW had several builders of
these. The Kato cars have the two small toilet windows at one end.
Anyway, I know this isn't CB&Q related, but I thought someone might
know. The cars come with dry transfer numbers so you can number
them as you wish, but I don't know what is correct. I don't think
the cars Kato modeled were the lowest series (1 and above) cars.
Thanks.
