For sale one copy of the Feb. 1952 Trains Magazine in excellent
condition. The article: "The Desire to be Somewhere Else" by
Trains editor, David P. Morgan praises the Zephyr as being the
best passenger train in the USA. The Zephyr order consisted of
66 of the world's costliest passenger cars of all time and 20
diesel electric locomotives for a total of 15 million dollars. As one
passenger stated, trains like the Commodore Vanderbilt
"seemed so ordinary after the (California) Zephyr." After reading
this article, the reader will definitely know why the CZ was
America's favorite train. This 56 page issue has a nice photo
section with steam and first generation diesels and those
wonderful railroad ads from the 1950's. 4 b&w photos
Payment: check or money order: $4.00 postpaid within the USA
