Corrected and resend. Bandana Square is NP Como
Shops. Only roling stock on site is ex. GTW 0-8-0
being cosmetically restored by Northstar Chapter-NRHS,
and ex. BN box car containing aux. gen. for Aspen
Clinic. All other equip. was given to MTM at Jackson
Street Roundhouse. New owners of Bandana Square want
to make the complex a 8A-5P M-F office building. Thus
the Model Railroad has been told their rent will go up
by a factor of 10 times(to force them out - they have
about 2 years remaining on their least) and the
railroad book store Como Shops will be out by the end
of May. Bandana Square never had a anchor store like
a hardware, drug, or grocery, nor a major outlet like
Penny's or Sears, etc. Any of which would have given
the center a good chance of sucess. None of the owners
over the years ever tried to get a good anchorc or
major store onto the complex. CY
