Sorry, Allan. No zephyrs ran through York. Only the train to
Alliance and Billings, Montana. (43 and 44?, I believe. Others on the
list feel free to correct me.) The California and Denver Zephyrs ran on
CB&Q's Lincoln to Denver mainline. It went through Fairmont, Nebraska
which is directly South of York 20 to 30 miles. That same route (now
BNSF) is used by Amtrak's California Zephyr. It has been almost 40
years since a scheduled passenger train went through York.
