I grew up on the corner of 17th and Hoyne in Chicago. During the
early to mid 60's, the "Q" would refuel a switcher there every day.
The track was at grade level which served a grain elevator. The
truck that did the refueling was green, and I don't remember any
type of markings on it. Would this be a Burlington fuel truck and
was this common practice. At 17th & Hoyne was the "Q's" Robey yards.
You would think they would refuel there.
