If the Burlington had had a special movement requesting the use of a dome car
on the Zephyr Rocket, then the Passenger Dept. would have one assigned to the
consist for that movement. But no, there never was a dome car assigned to
this overnight run (at least on the Rock Island portion) according to George
Strombeck's article (that includes consist information) on this train that
appeared in the first quarter issue 2004 of Remember The Rock magazine. Jim
