It would depend on what time frame you're modelling I think.  Prior to the
late fifities the standard structure paint scheme was red/brown for the
walls and green trim and roof.  Then there was a shift to white walls and, I
believe, black for the roof.  Don't trust me completely on this, but if you
give the experts a year, they'll be able to help you more.
