They were used to move enriched uranium from the AEC
plant at Paducah in big lead containers. They also
were used to move low grade uranium to the plant at
Metropolis where that was converted into UF6, which
them was trucked over to the AEC plant at Paducah
(more correctly in railroad terms "Chiles").
