To quote from an earlier response

"The first repaint of a diesel was possibly E-7A #9929A, photographed in
July 1958, the first road switchers to get the scheme were GP-7 #238
(February 1959) and Colorado & Southern's SD-9 #828 (March 1959) which were
rebuilt after wrecks, whilst the first new diesels were the SD-24's which
started to appear in May 1959.

The last Chinese red unit was probably GP9 #1960, and that was repainted
(into BN Cascade green and black) at Livingston, Montana December 29, 1976"

I can't find any specific data about GP's being repainted but a full table
relating to SD's is in Zephyr #33
