[CBQ] Branchline's XM-32 model

I have a Branchline kit of CB&Q XM-32 #17352, built September 1950.
The kit has a silver "metal" roofwalk,  but a mineral red roof. Did 
XM-32's built right before the XM-32Bs have all-silver roofs, or is 
the Branchline kit correct?
