Thanks to all who responded to my question!
I discovered yesterday that the whistle on the Chinese built 2-8-2 on the
Boone and Scenic Valley RR (Boone, Iowa) is actually off a Q Hudson! Of
course, as Bill pointed out, the differences in steam pressure, etc.
could make it sound different, but I'm anxious to get over there and HEAR
that whistle!
