Greetings,
I was wondering if the Q's 2-10-4's were allowed to operate into
Paducah. If not, what were the largest CB&Q engines allowed into
Paducah? The Metropolis bridge is a fairly modern bridge (OK, I know
a bridge completed in 1918 really can't be considered all that
modern, but compared to some of the other railroad bridges used
today, it is top-of-the-line) and was built to allow double track
operation. So, it appears the bridge could support the weight.
Thanks,
Cliff Downey
