Steve --
I don't know about the buff/green combo, though it sounds
plausible. Steve Goen's Fort Worth & Denver Color Pictorial
includes shots of several main line depots in that scheme. Buff
with brown trim is another good possibility. Many C&S
depots/buildings of the "transition" era were painted in standard
Burlington colors: a dark (mineral) red body with dark green trim.
I know the late John Maxwell sold plans for a number of
"standard" C&S buildings (depots, section houses, coal bins),
and I believe these are still available. Someone on the list
should be able to give you a URL or mailing address. Also check
out the resources of the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden.
Good luck, and welcome to the discussion group.
