Does anyone know when the system of allocating class numbers to CB&Q freight
cars was started, and the background to the change?
A note in the Stockcars Bulletin indicated that the class numbering system
started in about 1915, whilst the Reefer Bulletin refers to a 1910 class
allocation. Was this in fact done at different times for different types or
was it a single event?
