Re. boxcar #130250 which is recorded in the records as an XM-20.
The ORERs I have between 1919 and 1930 show this car as a separate listing,
rather than including it in either the XM-20 or XM-21 groups which it sits
between. In addition, almost all its dimensions differ from those of both
the XM-20 and XM-21, other than the cubic capacity, although it is more
similar to the latter class's dimensions rather than those of the former.
I understand that this car was built at Aurora (where some of the XM-21's
were built) rather than H&B which produced the XM-20's.
In the 1939 ORER, the car is no longer shown separately but is included as
"130250-134250" - identifying it with the later class even though the
earlier class is also listed, which ties in again with the builder factor.
Can anyone shed some light on this?. Any offers of when the car was built
in relation to the two groups or when the ORER listing was changed?
Optimistical gratitude
Rupert
