Here's from May 1940 to Dec. 1942:  31 CB&Q cars, 1 BREX (78397 hauling meat
from Schaeffer's) & 3 Q locos (5330 lubrication @ R.H., 5337 & 5338).

The Q frt cars included 25123 going to treatment plant; 95104 loaded with
pork & beans from St. Paul;116647, 112207 & 25416 carrying bagged Soda Ash;
131369 with flour from Omaha to Eldora; 132018 taking lime to R.H. (why
reseal unless some R.H. other than Ottumwa & why lime - water treatment?);
stock 57896 taking cattle to Harks & Fulton @ Mt. Pleasant; 117174 with
mdse. on Extra 2215 leaving Ottumwa; 45625 with insulating mat'l, 85485 off
the Des Moines local; 58384 with Signal Dept mat'l from Aurora & 33139 on
X5600 to Keokuk (big power for that run).

Foreign roads = 25 cars: B&O-6 (one box with bagged oyster shells to
Osceola); Southern-3 (1 was meat meal from Morrell); CRI&P, KCS & AT&SF-2
ea; and one ea. from PRR, NYC, C&NW, N&W, Wab, CofG (loaded with watermelons
- a ventilator car), IC, WP, Milw and Mich. Central. One of the KCS was due
to a load shift of "moly conets" - the spelling was very exact but I have no
idea what that could be unless he meant moldy contents that expanded but
would expect mention of actual contents plus the spelling by this agent was
very good)

Private owners: NADX & 3 MORX (Morrell) taking meat to Ft. Dodge & Paducah
respectfully; PFE with lettuce; Cudahy with butter; St. Louis Refrig Express
and 2 loads of butter (FGE to Chicago & WFE to NY). Next installment
includes some poultry cars (1 of the 1st craftsmen kits I assembled was an
Ambroid combo poultry/reefer. Have a photo of one on a Q siding near Crook
Whse. in the 50's)
