Does anyone know the original of the "Q" caboose at the Dekalb County
Fairgrounds in Sandwich, IL? It is a steel extended vision caboose
donated to the fairgrounds by the BNSF in 1997. It is currently
numbered 968767, which I believe is a MOW number for BNSF. The plaque
on the caboose indicates that it was last used in bunk car service. Is
this a Q caboose and, if so, what is it's original number? I have a
photo if anyone is interested.
