Good afternoon Tom;

I work at the General Mills corporate offices in Golden Valley MN. This
afternoon, I had a chance to stop by the corporate archives office to do
some more snooping on the Wheaties box with your grandfather on it.

We WERE able to track down the archived box. It was issued on January 25th,
1937 under the subject of "Champions of Speed". This box was a "single
serving" box, like you find in the sample packs today. Your grandfather and
a second engineer by the name of Harry Lund are featured on the back panel,
along with a nice shot of the Twin Zephyrs.

So far, I've had a chance to see the actual box itself, and have a black and
white copy of it. I've tried to make additional copies on our department
copier, but the result is too dark to see. I will take it to a printing
store to get better copies.

If you would please send me your name and address, I would be happy to send
you a copy of what I have. General Mills said we can also contact them if
we would like a replica of the box made up. I don't have any details, such
as price at this time. If you're interested in that as well, please let me
know. I would be happy to chase it down for you.

Please feel free to contact me at my work email "scott.stearns@genmills.com"
or call at 763-764-2855.

Scott Stearns
