It is strange that you have never heard or saw the
same slogan on both sides, but then agaain, I guess I
have looked at a lot more hopper cars than you. The 55
ton steel and composite hoppers when painted boxcar
red, had "Everywhere West" on both sides as did the 70
ton HT-10's. When the steel cars were repainted
Chinese red, they got "Way of the Zephyrs" on one side
and "Everywhere West" on the other side. The
composites got no slogan because of the braces. The
class MWB-14 & MWB- 15 ballast cars got EW on one side
and WOTZ on the other when were in boxcar red.
