If you look at old timetables, (I reviewed a 1956 Official Guide)
Burlington's Equipment listing for scheduled passenger trains listed a
"Diner-Lounge" on some trains. For example the "Aksarben Zephyr", and trains
#29 and #30 between Denver and Billings.
Some railroads built diner-lounge cars, and some merely re-configured dining
cars by removing a few tables and inserting lounge furniture, supplemented
with an ash stand or two.
I suspect this is what you have discovered when studying your drawings.
Which car numbers had the lounge section added?
