I'm looking for information about the former CB&Q coal and water
facilities at New London, Iowa. I assume that they may have been laid
out in such manner as to serve the double track main, but am just
guessing. Can any of you provide more information about the
facilities?
In particular:
What type of structures were they?
Where were they located relative to the depot?
How were they laid out?
I wish to model that location and would ultimately like to locate
photographs of any facilities there so that I may develop drawings
sufficient for kitbashed or scratchbuilt models. I have Robert Brown's
Iowa depot and tower book, and am aware of the depot photo it contains,
but that is not adequate for my needs.
