Leo,
Big Foot (Bob) was a Cond. and Saco was a Brakeman. I'm not sure if Saco ever
took the promotion but he was a Brakeman for the entire time I knew him. Also,
I can't remember ever working with him on anything but the Fox River.
There was one trip when Saco became violently acquainted with an Owl on the way
up Wedron hill. It was such a traumatic event that he almost missed his
appointed "pick up" at Sheridan.
