A friend asked if I could get any information regarding the fabled "Silk
Trains" that were run back in the 1920's. He remembers that they were run on
the Northern Pacific from Seattle to St. Paul. If so, then the NP must have
handed them over to the Q for delivery into Chicago.
But, he also has some info that they ran thru Franklin Park on their way into
Chicago. If so, then they would have been on the Milwaukee RR tracks, which
seems then to add some mystery.
Any info will be appreciated
