Y'all should be getting notification from Yahoo that a new file has been
uploaded to the BRHS List photo album. The photo is taken from the centennial
history of Shenandoah, published in 1971. The caption states this is #627, a
K-1. Corbin states she was retired in Jul 1937, so that would seem to place the
action sometime prior to that date, although the auto in the upper left hand
corner appears to be a later model (at least to this untrained eye). I would
guess the shot to have been taken either late spring or mid-summer, judging by
the bunting on the light post, which would indicate either Memorial Day or July
4th. The passenger depot remains -- as a restaurant -- but the freight depot is
long since gone.
