Would some of the freight car experts like to respond to this question? I
did a quick scan of Burlington Bulletin #7 and found a few C&S cars were
re-painted in a "plain Jane" version of the Chinese Red scheme in the
1960's, with no large Burlington letters or slogans and only a small black &
white stenciled herald. (Page 18 & 19)

Remember to add John's email address to your reply.

Thanks!
Dave

There is a N scale model of a C B & Q 40 foot boxcar in Chineese red
with "Burlington" left of the door and the black Burlington Route
rectangle with a red outline and white stripe to the right of the
door. The slogans "Everywhere West" and "Way of the Zephers" are under
the Burlington Route Logo. My question is where there any C & S and FWD
40 foot boxcars done in this paint scheme? What were the roadnumbers?
Thank You in advance!
