Making our last station stop tonight, I saw a Southern Pacific Tunnel Motor
sitting inside the confines of the Sacramento Railroad Museum. Without
verifiication, it looks like a recent donation to the Cal RR Museum, and an
important piece of RR equipment for the last era of railroading. I hope
someone saw the importance of saving a tunnel motor before we lost all units
to the scrap pile like the Alco PA's.
this is non-Burlington, but important in the development of second generation
diesel power and worth preserving.
