The Walthers web-site indicates that they have released a 50' smooth side
insulated box-car lettered for Hubbinger Corn Products in Keokuk, Iowa. I'm
trying to get a date on this car. It has the chopped ladders and no roof-walk
in the picture so I'm guessing that it represents a car from later than my
early sixties layout. If anyone has further information on this car or the
prototype I'd be glad to hear it. I'll keep the list posted as I make my
inquiries. Hubbinger was the biggest shipper in Keokuk for many years and a few
of these cars would be right at home in any K-line freights if the dates are
correct.
