Tom,
A word of advice:
Excel does not do a good job of converting "XLS" to "HTML".
There is an easy work around. In FrontPage go to the "Table"
drop down and click on "Insert" and "Table". I am presuming
you already have a HTML page open. It will ask you for your
table properties. Tell it "1 row and 1 column". This will give
you a little box on the screen where your table is.
Leave FrontPage open and open Excel. Highlight the entire area
of cells you want to convert. Do not select by selecting rows
because it will give you a zillion cells off to the right. Just the
rows and columns you want in your new table. After highlighting
click on "Edit, Copy".
LEAVE THE XLS FILE OPEN. Go to the task bar and bring the
FrontPage HTML page to the foreground. Click in the little one
cell table and paste. FrontPage will give you as many rows and
columns as are needed and put your data in them. At this point
you can close your Excel file and fool around with the table
properties in FrontPage until you get just the right look.
This will not alter or damage your Excel file in any way but for
some reason it has to be open during the paste.
