Kable Printing at Mt Morris loaded jeeps. Out to Oregon in regular
freight service. Local takes to Mt Morris for loading. On their
return the Eola to Oregon turn takes them over when the local gets
back from Mt Morris. Allowed passenger train speeds on return
trip, (with certain limitations).
Pulls into #2 or #3 at the Depot at Aurora and goes to eat. Depot
engine tears their train apart and puts them on the rear of a Dinky
that was supposed to leave around 9:15 p.m. That Dinky did not
leaves until mail was added, air tested, and so forth. At times 45"
late out of Aurora. When process was done Oregon turn would
take whatever freight cars were left and go to Eola.
On another note I can recall a "middle of the day" Dinky on Sunday
would set out Railway Express cars at say Western Springs. Think
they would take the business for say, Stone Ave out to Aurora and
work the South side on the way back to Chicago.
