Bob:
After that pool was dissolved the EL was a little behind on HP-Hours so
either 1 or 2 of those GP35's stayed on BN for a month or so.
The number "2584" comes to mind but I'll have to look a little closer.
EL 3669-3681, SD45-2'S had 62/15 gearing & dual control stands.
Don't have anything positive on the earlier units.

My very first fireman student trip, 9/15/69, was on train #97 Clyde to
Savanna with 5 SD-45's: Q525, Q529, Q521, EL3619, EL3620 for a total of
18,000 horsepower. Not sure on this, but I believe the EL's were geared the
same as the Q's with 60:17 gears; they sure would "fly" as witnessed by our
running time - depart Clyde 12:52 PM arrive Savanna 3:35 PM (2hrs. 43mins).
Other dates with EL power:
9/28/69 #97 Q528, EL2557, EL2582 (GP-35's)
9/28/69 #82 Q910, Q911, Q519, EL2578, EL2579
12/9/69 #97 Q463, Q466, EL2565, EL3610
