I'm afraid I don't have any memories at all from the early '70s of the BN
operations. Being born in '68 I was just born too late to have any first
hand knowledge of BN or even the "Q" in Peoria. I grew up in Morton and my
treasured early memories of railroads are of the Illinois Terminal.
Roger Kujawa who is on the BRHS list may be able to help with some of the
info. Some time ago he hosted a slide show and I was able to see his and his
brother's 1970's slides of BN and other railroads in and around Peoria and
they were pretty cool. David Jordan here in town is doing a lot of research
on operations and traffic patterns around the area - maybe I can pick his
brain on BN operations in Peoria.
