Hi everyone:
The Fulton County, Illinois Spoon River Drive is Oct.
6-7 and 13-14, 2001
What is there to see on the drive besides the foliage and arts and crafts?
How about five CBQ depots, three you can actually go in.
The Canton depot is now the city hall, has crafts inside and a mine engine
outside. Avon has the local historical society in its depot. Gerald
Peterson usually has his collection of depot pictures there. The collection
has photos from 101 of Illinois counties. Lewistown has the Q depot on the
east side of town and the Fulton County Narrow Gauge depot on the west side
which is now a museum. The Yates City depot is also a museum but I'm not
sure if it will be open.
