You're right, there were two Purdy's in Wisconsin. The Vernon County Purdy was
not served by the CB&Q as you allude to.

In the DeLorme Atlas & Gazeteer of Wisconsin, there is a Purdy shown in
Sterling Township in the southern half of Vernon County. It is on County
Road N and appears to be on the south fork of the Bad Axe River. I doubt
that this Purdy was on the CB&Q, as it is 6 or 7 miles inland from the
Mississippi River.
