Question on HO scale Nickel Plate 2-10-4

Hi Listers,
I have located a Nickel Plate CB&Q 2-10-4. It is quite a distance from my 
home so I will not be able to see it run. Can anyone help me out on what the 
quality of this production was by Nickel Plate? The paint job looks great and 
it does appear to have good detail. I am more concerned on the performance of 
the drive.
